About Me
August Troendle is the CEO of Medpace, a clinical research company he founded in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1992; he owns nearly 20% of the stock. Medpace conducts clinical trials for pharmaceutical companies seeking to bring drugs, vaccines or medical devices to market. Before starting Medpace, Troendle spent five years as a director at Swiss pharma company Sandoz, now known as Novartis. He also briefly worked as a medical review officer at the FDA's division of metabolic and endocrine drug products from 1986 to 1987. A doctor with an M.D. from the University of Maryland, Troendle has also served on the boards of several public and private healthcare companies.
