Benjamin Otto inherited a 15.1% stake in Otto Group, which his grandfather, Werner, started as a mail-order business in 1949. His father, Michael Otto, he ran the business for 26 years until 2007. He is now chairman of its supervisory board. With revenues exceeding $15 billion, Otto Group has more than 40 companies in retail (including Crate and Barrel), real estate and financial services. Benjamin joined the family company as an executive director in 2012.
