About Me
Bill Cummings founded commercial real estate developer Cummings Properties in 1970 in Woburn, Massachusetts. The company manages 11 million square feet of office buildings in the suburbs of Boston; Bill has donated many of the buildings to the charitable Cummings Foundation. He still owns office complexes in the Boston suburbs, including the Cummings Center in Beverly and TradeCenter 128 in Woburn. Bill and his wife Joyce joined the Giving Pledge in 2011; the couple are generous donors to groups in the Boston area and in Rwanda. In 2004, the couple's foundation agreed to operate Tuft University's Veterinary School, contributing $80 million over two decades.
