About Me

Carlos Eduardo M. Scripilliti is an heir to the Votorantim empire, one of Brazil's largest and oldest conglomerates with interests in aluminum, pulp and paper, energy, agriculture and cement. He is the third generation member of the family business which was started by his grandfather, Jose Ermirio de Moraes, in 1918. Today, the group, which traces its roots to a textile factory in Sao Paulo, operates in 20 countries. Scripilliti's siblings, Clóvis Ermírio de Moraes and Regina Helena S. Velloso, are also billionaires; the trio inherited their fortune from their mother Maria Helena Moraes Scripilliti.
