About Me

Chen Dongsheng is the founder and chairman of Taikang Insurance Group, one of China's largest insurers. Taikang also has interests in asset management as well as health and elderly care. Chen's wife is the granddaughter of Mao Zedong, the communist revolutionary who became the founding father of the People's Republic of China. Early in his career, Chen worked as deputy editor of Management World, a publication of the Development Research Center of China's State Council. His son Chen Yilun became the chairman of group asset management unit Taikang Fund Management in 2024.
