About Me

David Siegel is the cofounder of Two Sigma, a quantitative investing powerhouse that manages $60 billion. Two Sigma's largest business is a data-driven hedge fund that absorbs large amounts of information to predict the prices of securities. Siegel and John Overdeck stepped away from day-to-day management of Two Sigma in September 2024, transitioning from co-CEOs to co-chairmen of the firm. Born in the Bronx, Siegel is a computer fanatic who got a computer science Ph.D. from MIT and worked at hedge funds D.E. Shaw and Tudor Investments. Siegel's charitable foundation, Siegel Family Endowment, is focused on technology and society and supports programs such as Scratch, which introduces children to coding.
