Duncan MacMillan cofounded financial data and media company Bloomberg LP in 1981 with Mike Bloomberg, Thomas Secunda and Charles Zegar. MacMillan left a job at investment bank Salomon Brothers to help Bloomberg with what was then called Innovative Market Systems. He is credited with designing many of Bloomberg LP's computer systems. Bloomberg LP has estimated revenues of nearly $15 billion.
