About Me

Henry Nicholas III and business partner Henry Samueli cofounded fabless semiconductor firm Broadcom in 1991 in a Redondo Beach, California condominium. Nicholas resigned as CEO of Broadcom in 2003, five years after taking the company public. He's now focused on passing a crime victims' rights bill known as Marsy's Law, named for his murdered sister, which has been adopted by 12 states. In 2019, Nicholas was charged with five counts of drug trafficking after police found heroin and methamphetamine in his Las Vegas hotel room. He took a plea deal, agreeing to attend drug counseling and donate $500,000 to treatment centers.
