Kim Nam-goo is the chief executive and largest shareholder of Korea Investment Holdings, the country's only non-bank financial holding company. The eldest son of Dongwon founder Kim Jae-chul, Kim started at Dongwon Securities (precursor to Korea Investment Holdings) in 1991. His brother, Kim Nam-jung, is chairman of packaged seafood producer Dongwon.
