Kuldip Singh Dhingra is the chairman emeritus of Berger Paints India, the country's second-largest paint maker by market share. Djhngra and his brother Gurbachan Singh Dhingra, also a billionaire, have a controlling stake in the company. In 1991 they bought Berger Paints, then the country's smallest paint maker, from former billionaire Vijay Mallya. Apart from India, Berger has a presence in Bangladesh, Nepal, Poland and Russia. In August 2024, his eldest daughter Rishma Kaur was appointed chairman of the company.
