Michael Novogratz

About Me

Mike Novogratz is the founder, CEO and majority shareholder of Galaxy Digital Holdings, a crypto investment firm that trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange. He began his career at Goldman Sachs in 1989, where he spent a decade and became a partner while the firm was still privately held. Novogratz went on to work at private equity firm Fortress Investment Group, becoming its president. He first bought bitcoin in 2013, and has since invested in a range of startups and tokens within the cryptocurrency industry. His most notorious failure was betting big on Luna, a token tied to stablecoin TerraUSD, which blew up in 2022. Novogratz had tattooed its logo on his arm.
