Omani Carson is the founder and chairman of Omaha-based financial advisory company Carson Group, made up of Carson Wealth, Carson Coaching and Carson Partners. The company runs 150 partner offices serving 54,000 affluent families, managing $55 billion in assets. Carson launched the Carson Group in 1983 out of his dorm room at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In 2022, a Lakota chief gave him the name Ta Te Omani (walking into a stiff wind) leading him to change his name from Ron to Omani. He also runs Omya, a by-invitation-only venture targeting founders who are financially successful but personally stuck.
