About Me

Ren Yuanlin chairs Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, one of China's largest shipyards. Ren joined the company in the1970s, then called Jiangyin Shipbuilding Factory, and headed its ship body workshop. He worked his way up to a factory supervisor and eventually became chairman in 1997. In 2022, Yangzijiang Financial Holding, a former subsidiary, spun off from the group and went public in Singapore. Apart from Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, Ren's wealth also includes his stake in Yangzijiang Financial and debt investments.
