Robert Low is the founder and CEO of New Prime, Inc., a privately held trucking carrier with over 10,000 drivers Prime is the leading provider of refrigerated trucks with over 6,500 temperature-controlled trucks hauling everything from meat and yogurt to flowers and pharmaceuticals. Raised on a farm in rural Missouri, Low founded Prime in 1970 when he was 19 after buying his first truck to help fund his college studies. After surviving Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the early '80s, Low reinvented Prime by making its drivers into independent contractors. He and his wife Lawana Low are Prime's only two shareholders. The company generated an estimated $2.5 billion in revenue in 2025.
