Academic success is not so important for entrepreneurship. Courage, sociability and the capability to assess risk and to think outside borders are much more important.

About Me

Roman Trotsenko is the founder Aeon Corporation, which had interests in airports, coil mining, property development and river ports. In 2024 Trotsenko sold Aeon in parts to his lieutenants; his wealth is now derived largely from Novaport, which owns 22 regional airports in Russia. In 2022 he bought coal producer Vorkutaugol from Alexey Mordashov, a fellow Russian billionaire, and RostAgro, one of the country's biggest agricultural companies. He eventually sold both assets. At age 21 he became the finance director of International Medical Exchange, a trading platform for medical equipment and drugs, which is now defunct. According to Trotsenko, he made his first million dollars when he was 22 years old. Trotsenko financed contemporary art center Winzavod, which his wife founded.
