Rubens Menin founded MRV Engenharia in 1979, and turned it into Brazil's leading home builder; it trades on the Sao Paulo exchange. The company started in his home state of Minas Gerais and eventually spread to Brazil's southern states. He is also the founder of Banco Inter, a Brazilian bank that went public in 2018. In January 2019, Menin announced the launch of CNN Brasil, a licensed brand, which began operations in late 2019. A sports fan, Menin sponsors F1 racer Bruno Senna and years ago launched his own tennis tournament in Brazil.
