He launched the company in 2017 with fellow billionaire Jitendra Mohan and a third cofounder, Casey Morrison. The trio decided to start their own company while working together at semiconductor firm Texas Instruments. They took Astera Labs public on the Nasdaq in 2024. Gajendra and Mohan, who serves as CEO, each own an estimated 4% of Astera Labs. Morrison, who serves as chief product officer, has never had his stake disclosed.
