Sergio Stevanato is chairman emeritus of the Stevanato Group, a medical packaging firm based in Piombino Dese, Italy. Founded by his father Giovanni in 1949, the company is now run by his sons Franco and Marco, who serve as chairman and vice chairman, respectively. Stevanato Group went public on the New York Stock Exchange in 2021. Stevanato Group is the second largest maker of glass vials in the world and a major supplier of vials for several Covid-19 vaccine manufacturers. The company started out making glass bottles for wine and perfume and is now one of the world's largest producers of insulin pen cartridges.
