Ulrike Meister is one of four family heirs who inherited 63% of kitchen appliance manufacturer Rational AG. Siegfried Meister founded the company in 1973 and died in 2017, at age 78. Its products include ovens, steamers and grills. Rational has more than a 50% share of the global market for multifunctional food preparation appliances used in large-scale and commercial kitchens. The company, which went public in 2000, has grown consistently without acquisitions, and prides itself on innovative, energy-efficient technology.
