About Me

Eustasio López González is the owner of Invertur Helsan, a closely held Spanish hotel group. He co-founded investment company, Hijos de Francisco López Sánchez in 1972, which was the seed of the family's Lopesan Group. Originally focused on construction and real-estate, Lopez Gonzales pivoted the business into tourism in the 1990s, creating the hotel division that developed Meloneras in south Gran Canaria, including the flagship Lopesan Costa Meloneras, which opened in 2000. He acquired a majority stake in Germany's IFA Hotels & Touristik in 1999, which became a platform for growth in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He remains chairman of the Lopesan Group and continues to oversee its international portfolio, including the 5-star Lopesan Costa Bávaro in Punta Cana.
