Fumio Sakiya founded Rorze, a manufacturer of production equipment for semiconductor and flat-panel display makers, in 1985. Sakiya was CEO of the Hiroshima Prefecture-based company.until 2015 and chairman for two years after that. He's now a board member and advisor. Rorze listed on the JASDAQ bourse for startups in 2013 and is now listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The firm has manufacturing operations in Japan, the U.S., China, Taiwan, South Korea and Vietnam Santa Clara-based chip-equipment giant Applied Materials is Rorze's biggest customer, accounting for nearly one-fourth of sales.
